“Self-awareness is the most important part of becoming the best that you can be”

I am Harry Taylor and ever since I was a young lad, I loved to walk around the earth of my family farm, asking myself questions about what I had been doing, why I was doing it and how I could make sure that I did it better. I would imagine all the positive things that I could do and then tried to work out how I could make those visions come true. It sounds a little corny, but it seemed like the right thing to do. I used those same principles throughout my 280 game AFL career with the Geelong Cats...

My practical experience from time spent in the AFL as a player and High-Performance Manager, and theoretical knowledge gained from Business Management degrees have taught me that culture and the behaviours therein have the most powerful impact on team performance. I am not sure why exactly, but I have always enjoyed listening to stories and learning from others as a means of improving who I can be. There is always something to learn if you look and listen with open eyes and ears..
